Direction Europe BV provides leadership and diversity training, coaching and consultancy.
Direction’s view on sustainability is linked to the company’s own fundamental theory about High Performing Organisations. This theory focuses on long-term results and balancing interests of a wide group of stakeholders, including shareholders, employees, communities and customers. Since 1999 the company has been involved to increase awareness on diversity by providing training, coaching and consultancy. The location of the company’s open entry courses are Green Key Gold certified.
FIRA Comment Summary
- Balance & Completeness: We compliment Direction with consultancy practices on human development and gender diversity at clients. Other plans and practices are focused on awareness and social dialogue at clients, environmental friendly training locations, and social investment. We encourage Direction to disclose impact on management awareness and change in client behavior related to gender diversity, and practices on material issues such as human development of own personnel and consumer data protection (coaching/assessments).
- Code of Conduct: We encourage Direction to work on a company code of conduct.
- Commitment to CSR: Direction has committed to the template CSR declaration, including commitment to all CSR principles and to progress on material issues. We encourage Direction to work on a company specific declaration and code of conduct based on material issues.
- Value Chain: The Direction supply chain is accessible and complete. Based on company size and (non) complexity further detailing the supply chain should not be necessary unless specific CSR issues emerge.
- Stakeholder Inclusivity and Responsiveness: Current stakeholder engagement has been executed based on internal resources (e.g. account managers, review of tender and permit requirements, etc.). We encourage Direction to enhance stakeholder engagement by seeking actual dialogue with external stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: The stakeholder engagement does not cover all CSR issues. We encourage Direction to mature stakeholder management by extending the scope of engagement touching all relevant CSR issues. Improving stakeholder engagement may impact the current materiality analysis.
